Exmouth Wild Prawns

MG Kailis operates all licences in the Exmouth Gulf Prawn Fishery using a fleet of six catching and processing vessels, producing frozen-at-sea cooked and raw prawns.

Brown Tiger Prawns (Penaeus esculentus) and Western King Prawns (Melicertus latisulcatus ) are the prize catch. In addition smaller quantities of Endeavour Prawns (Metapenaeus endeavouri) are also caught.

In consultation with Fisheries WA the group manages the Exmouth Gulf’s harvest strategies; the Exmouth Gulf is recognised as one of the best-managed fisheries in the world today.

These prawns are marketed under the Exmouth Wild brand both in Australia and overseas. Product is available whole in either cooked or raw forms, as well as tail-on cutlets and flesh.
